Job Description

Inside the Role

Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA's core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

As part of DTNA's newly formed Corporate Development department, the Business Transformation team is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial-minded intern to support one of DTNA's 6 Strategic Imperatives on Product Complexity Optimization

The ideal candidate demonstrates entrepreneurial thinking, strong business acumen, creative problem-solving, and strong collaboration skills. The intern will assist in generating and evaluating new complexity optimization ideas, steer implementation & decision processes, as well as develop recommendations on how to optimize current product complexity.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Support of DTNA's Strategic Imperatives on Complexity Optimization, driving sustainable, profitable growth across all regions and brands.

Support the generation and evaluation of new, business-transforming ideas that reduce complexity in new ways.

  • Leverage data analytics to identify performance trends, model business cases, and assess the impact of strategic initiatives.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with all cross-functions such as sales, engineering, aftermarket, finance, and engineering to support structures evolution & implementation of complexity reduction ideas.

  • Contribute to the development of decision proposals and presentations for senior management, highlighting insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture where everyone belongs

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program or higher from an accredited college/university OR have recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date (May/June)
  • Strong foundation in business, economics, data analytics, or related fields, with the ability to interpret financial, market, and operational data.
  • Demonstrated strategic, analytical, and data-driven thinking skills, with the ability to structure complex problems and draw actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data analytics or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python) is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
