Job Description
The Monad Foundation is a team of dedicated ecosystem and community builders who are on a mission to massively grow the impact of decentralized tech. We believe that the Monad blockchain--the performant and parallel EVM Layer 1--will help decentralized apps eat the world.
The Role
We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to position Monad Foundation’s efforts to build out the payments ecosystem. This is an entrepreneurial, high-autonomy role for someone who thrives on building from zero, identifying opportunities, forming partnerships, and creating momentum around a new standard in crypto payments.
What You’ll Do
Ecosystem Building: Identify, engage, and onboard key ecosystem partners including fintechs, PSPs, banks, and stablecoin issuers.
Partnerships and Deals: Structure and negotiate agreements that drive adoption of Monad as a global settlement payments layer.
GTM Execution: Collaborate on launch strategy, including the marketing narrative, landing page, and early customer integrations.
Market Development: Evangelize Monad to the broader crypto and fintech communities through events, partnerships, and strategic outreach.
Research and Insight: Rapidly get up the curve on stablecoins, payments, and settlements to inform strategy and execution.
Who You Are
Track record closing marquee deals in fintech, payments and/or traditional finance sectors
Deep curiosity about stablecoins, payments, and the intersection of crypto and fintech.
Hustler mindset; you make things happen even with limited structure.
Strong network or demonstrated ability to build one quickly in crypto and fintech circles.
Excellent communicator and storyteller who can move between technical and business contexts.
Comfortable taking ownership and operating autonomously.
Based in or willing to relocate to New York City or San Francisco.
