Business Development Leader - Natural Gas Utilities

Help Build Something From the Ground Up

A rapidly expanding natural gas utility contractor is seeking an experienced Business Development Leader to spearhead its expansion into Georgia. With established operations across Alabama and Florida and 100% year-over-year growth for the past four years, the company is investing heavily in the Georgia market and is looking for a leader to drive that growth.

This is a rare opportunity to establish a new territory, develop key client relationships, and play a critical role in shaping the future of one of the Southeast's fastest-growing utility contractors. The Georgia office location will be determined based on the successful candidate's location.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute a business development strategy throughout Georgia.
• Build and strengthen relationships with natural gas utilities, municipalities, developers, engineering firms, and general contractors.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new project opportunities.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and grow the Georgia operation.
• Represent the company at industry events and within the utility construction market.
• Serve as a trusted resource for clients while expanding the company's presence across the state.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in natural gas utility construction, underground utilities, or heavy civil construction.
• Proven success in business development, sales, operations, or executive leadership.
• Strong relationships within Georgia's utility and infrastructure market.
• Understanding of Georgia utility contracting and licensing requirements is highly preferred.
• Georgia Utility Manager or Utility Foreman certification is a plus, but not required.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and grow a new market.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $100,000–$200,000+, depending on experience.
