Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Proactively pursue and acquire new strategic customers by promoting the value of our solutions.
  • Directly manage two emerging accounts focusing on targeted growth activities and program launch management
  • Track program timelines and coordinate related events.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential customers through follow-ups, networking, prospecting, cold calling, customer referrals, leads, community involvement, and other innovative business development methods.
  • Introduce and promote new products through joint selling initiatives.
  • Provide sales-oriented technical consulting to support customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to establish sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Support the introduction, development, and optimization of new and existing logistics systems.
  • Conduct market intelligence gathering and competitive analysis to inform strategy.
  • Provide regular progress reports on business development activities and outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • and organizational values.
    • Education and/or Experience

      Four-year certificate from college degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering preferred to Three - Five years sales experience in the fastener industry and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

      Language Skills

      Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports & business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, employees of the organization, and the general public.

      Mathematical Skills

      Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent. Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.

      Reasoning Ability

      Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram from. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

      Computer/System Skills

      To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Intermediate knowledge of:

      • Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
      • Outlook
      • Company Specific Programs

      Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

      • Current valid driver’s license

      Travel Requirements

      Must be able to travel with some overnight travel required.
