Business Development Representative | Kansas City, KSAt Stivers, we dont just fill seats; we build the teams that power businesses. We are looking for an energetic, people-oriented Business Development / Account Manager who is ready to transition their elite customer service skills into a professional business career.If youve spent years in the service industry or retail, you know that success comes down to two things: attitude and hustle. We arent looking for a "salesperson"were looking for a relationship builder who can think on their feet and solve problems before they start.The Role: From First Hello to Long-Term PartnerIn this role, you arent just a middleman. You are the face of our company. You will manage the entire lifecycle of a client relationshipfinding them, winning them over, and making sure they stay happy.1. Building Your Network (The Sales)
- The Hunt: Youll identify local businesses that are growing and need help. You arent "cold calling"; youre introducing yourself as a resource to help them solve their staffing headaches.*
- The Meeting: Youll sit down with business owners to listen. You wont give a canned pitch; youll work with your team to create a solution and figure out exactly how we can help them run smoother.
- Beyond the Sale: Once a client signs on, your job has just begun. Youll stay embedded in their business, making sure our team is delivering exactly what they need.*
- The Trusted Advisor: Youll move from being a "vendor" to a partner. Youll support Talent Management, check in regularly with your clients, review how things are going, and find new ways to help clients and talent succeed.
- Service Superstars: You have a background in the service industry, hospitality, or high-end retail. You know how to handle a "difficult table" with grace and a smile.*
- The "Smart-Hustle": Youre quick on your feet, curious, and love to learn. You dont need a manual for every situation; you can figure things out.*
- High Energy & Accountability: You treat your desk like your own small business. Youre self-motivated and don't need someone looking over your shoulder to get the job done.*
- Mobility: A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are required to visit your clients in person.
- The Pay: $50,000$65,000 base salary plus uncapped commission. *
