Business Development Manager - East Coast Base Salary: $140,000-$160,000/year Target Total Compensation: $200,000/year East Coast Territory | Extensive Travel RequiredAre you the kind of sales professional who would rather build a market than inherit one?We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the growth of a high-performance insulation product line throughout the East Coast. This is an opportunity to take an established, globally proven product and play a key role in expanding its presence in the U.S. HVAC, mechanical insulation, commercial construction, and building-products markets.This is not simply an account-maintenance position. What You'll DoYou will take ownership of developing the East Coast territory by identifying target customers, projects, applications, and strategic relationships.Your responsibilities will include:Develop new business throughout the East Coast territory
Build relationships with mechanical and HVAC contractors, insulation contractors, engineers, consultants, manufacturers, distributors, and other industry partners
Identify and develop key accounts capable of supporting long-term growth
Create demand through technical and specification-based selling
Educate customers on product performance, applications, installation efficiencies, and commercial advantages
Develop project opportunities from initial conversation through specification, quotation, procurement, and installation
Introduce products to prospective customers through presentations, demonstrations, trials, and evaluations
Identify and develop appropriate distributor and wholesale relationships
Build and maintain a disciplined sales pipeline and CRMGather market intelligence regarding competitors, pricing, applications, and regional opportunities
Attend trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, and industry events
Partner with technical and leadership teams to support customers and grow the U.S. market
The company specifically intends for the role to create demand through technical engagement and specification development rather than relying solely on traditional distribution.What We're Looking ForWe are looking for a self-directed sales professional who enjoys developing relationships and creating opportunities.You should have:5+ years of successful sales, business development, or specification-sales experience
Experience within HVAC, mechanical insulation, commercial construction products, building materials, engineered products, or another related technical industry
Proven success developing new territories, markets, or product categories
Strong understanding of commercial construction sales cycles
Experience developing relationships with contractors, engineers, distributors, and key accounts
Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage pricing, margin, pipeline, and sales opportunities
Comfort working independently and taking ownership of results
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the East CoastExperience with HVAC insulation, mechanical insulation, specification-driven products, energy-efficiency solutions, or commercial construction codes and standards is especially valuable.If you enjoy opening doors, building relationships, and seeing the direct impact of your work, we would like to hear from you.
