Business Development Manager (BDM) – WAVE Aquatic Safety PlatformAn ACB Safety & Technology Company

Job Overview WAVE Aquatic Safety Platform, an ACB Safety & Technology Company, is the leader in AI aquatic safety and technology. We're looking for an energetic salesperson to open new accounts with aquatics clients. We're changing the aquatic safety landscape with advanced technology that is long overdue and keeps swimmers safe.

WAVE BDMs manage the customer purchasing experience from first contact through handoff to Service Delivery. You'll have direct influence on product commercialization, profitability and sales processes. BDMs run lead generation programs, contract directly with clients, and carry a monthly sales objective. WAVE BDMs represent the WAVE brand: cool, trusted, and focused on swimmer safety.

Compensation Base salary of $60K–$70K plus uncapped commissions. Total compensation at goal is $120K+, and the right hunter can earn well beyond that.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties This is a quota-carrying remote sales role that owns lead generation, pre-sales, contracting and handoff to Service Delivery.

Lead Generation

Outbound: calling and prospecting, marketing campaigns, and targeted contact-list sales campaigns
Inbound: manage incoming customer leads from campaigns
Generate prospect leads at conferences and trade shows
Seek referrals and upgrades from installed customers

Pre-Sales

Qualify leads, set appointments, and schedule and perform product demonstrations
Manage prospect and contact lists
Research the market and competitors to identify RFP opportunities
Advance leads through a defined sales process in HubSpot CRM and keep the pipeline accurate

Closing and Handoff

Prepare proposals, present pricing and negotiate terms
Contract directly with clients
Hand off new accounts to Service Delivery for a smooth installation

Required Qualifications

2+ years of sales experience
Experience in technology sales
Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Aquatics industry or pool management knowledge
Experience in competitive water sports and/or lifeguarding
Knowledge of the local aquatics community
Experience in a remote sales role at a startup or similar environment
Experience selling products that defined a new category
HubSpot certifications and/or sales pipeline management experience

Location: Remote (US). [Expected Customer & Trade-show travel, e.g., "up to 30% or as necessary"]
