Business Development Manager Light Industrial Staffing

Location: Dallas, TX

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business growth throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market by selling light industrial staffing solutions. This role develops new client relationships, grows existing accounts, and partners with manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, distribution, and production companies to provide temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire workforce solutions. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with a proven track record in staffing sales and business development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and client meetings.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, needs analysis, proposal development, negotiations, closing, and follow-up.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, HR professionals, operations leaders, and executive decision-makers.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth goals within the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
  • Promote and sell temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire staffing solutions, with a primary focus on light industrial staffing.
  • Identify client workforce needs and provide consultative staffing solutions that support business objectives.
  • Prepare professional proposals, pricing, and service agreements while collaborating with internal teams to ensure a seamless onboarding process.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, and customer information in the CRM.
  • Stay informed on labor market trends, hiring challenges, wage data, and competitive staffing solutions to educate and advise clients.
  • Partner with recruiting and operations teams to ensure exceptional service delivery and successful placements.
  • Build long-term client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts and cross-sell additional workforce solutions.
  • Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, job fairs, industry associations, and community events.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals while driving profitable revenue growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of successful business development or outside sales experience within the staffing industry, with proven experience selling light industrial staffing solutions, including temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire services.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business with manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, logistics, production, and industrial clients while consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong knowledge of labor market trends, workforce planning, high-volume recruiting, and the unique staffing challenges within the light industrial sector.
  • Excellent prospecting, cold calling, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and closing skills with the ability to influence executive-level decision-makers.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
