Job Description

We are looking for an Indirect Business Development Officer for a very busy credit union to service the Albuquerque area. Position is remote. Job Summary The Indirect Business Development Officer is responsible for building and expanding relationships with automobile dealerships and strategic business partners to grow indirect loan volume. This role involves regional travel, dealership onboarding, market development, and representing the credit union at industry events. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase indirect loan originations.
  • Identify new market opportunities; onboard new dealerships and partners.
  • Conduct regular marketing calls and in-person visits to dealerships.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing dealer partners.
  • Provide training on credit union products, services, and program guidelines.
  • Create and update dealership training materials.
  • Assist with promotional campaigns and business?building initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on account performance.
  • Review dealership portfolios, identify trends, and address concerns with management.
  • Collaborate with Collections, Titling, Communications, and other departments.
  • Stay informed on market trends, economic conditions, and competitive activity.
  • Review exception loan requests as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with BSA, AML, CFT, MIP, OFAC, and all internal policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience.
  • Experience working with automobile dealerships or lenders preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of credit union products, services, and loan operations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship?building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Hours: Mon – Fri 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. After hours flexibility for offsite events. Salary Range: 63K to 105K depending on knowledge. ELPSO70
