Job Description

Role Outline (Hybrid-Austin, TX)

How do you bring humanoid robots to the world? We’re working on it - come join us for the ride!

At Engineered Arts we bring a very human focus to the cutting edge of robotics technology and build the most engaging humanoid robots in the world.

We’re looking for a driven Business Development Representative to join our sales team and be at the forefront of taking humanoid robotics to market across the US and North America.

You will own outbound lead generation, identifying and engaging high-potential prospects and converting early conversations into qualified meetings for our Account Executive team. This is a high-impact, front-line role where your hustle and creativity directly fuel pipeline growth and market expansion.

You’ll be part of a company where creative ambition meets engineering excellence, and where no two deals are ever the same. You’ll see your work make a measurable, global impact, with our robots installed and experienced in museums, theme parks, universities and boardrooms around the world. We offer competitive compensation and flexible work arrangements that support work–life balance.

We need people with initiative, creativity and a real appetite for outreach. If you’re interested in bringing humanity to technology and thrive on puzzles and challenges, let’s talk.

Main Responsibilities

  • Book qualified discovery meetings with prospects and hand them to the Account Executive team
  • Research and target key accounts using LinkedIn, email and outbound tools
  • Manage and execute outbound cadences across email, LinkedIn and CRM
  • Maintain accurate tracking of outreach and leads in the CRM
  • Collaborate with the AE and additional sales staff to optimise lead hand-off and opportunity conversion
  • Support inbound lead follow-up when required
  • Represent Engineered Arts with professionalism and curiosity during initial outreach

Challenges

Small team, big ambitions: We’re a small team working at the very cutting edge of technology in a high-growth sector. We rely on our highly-skilled professionals to jump in wherever needed to get things done. Expect a fast paced, agile environment with endless and varied challenges!

A new category to explain: Humanoid robots are not yet an everyday purchase. Opening a conversation means capturing a prospect’s imagination, showing where a robot fits in their world, and doing it with creativity rather than a stock pitch.

Pipeline ownership: You own outbound lead generation and the quality of every early conversation. Turning cold outreach into qualified discovery meetings takes initiative, persistence and high quality execution.

Cross-Functional Hand-off: Working closely with the Account Executive and wider sales team to make sure every lead is tracked accurately in the CRM and passed on in a way that maximises opportunity conversion.

Broad and varied audiences: Our robots serve museums, theme parks, universities, trade shows and boardrooms, with service robot applications on the horizon. No two prospects, or deals, are ever the same.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Key Skills and Experience

Essential

  • 1–2 years of BDR or outbound sales experience in a tech or hardware environment
  • Comfortable with outbound outreach and email prospecting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • A propensity for taking the initiative and high quality execution

Desirable

  • Familiarity with CRM and outbound engagement tools (HubSpot, Apollo, etc.)
  • Capable of being creative and looking at a problem sideways
