Job Description

What’s Important To Us

We solve hard problems all day long but hang out with dogs while we do it. We value authenticity and efficiency and have no time for egos. We prioritize performance over pedigree, compensate fairly, and never take ourselves too seriously. Our values are core to who we are and how we operate. We talk about them all the time. These are not just things posted on a wall. We will interview for them, hold each other accountable to them, and make sure we work with every single person we interact with in a way that's consistent with these values.

About The Role

Wagmo is redefining how modern companies care for their people and their pets. As an Enterprise BDR, you’ll play a critical role in fueling Wagmo’s enterprise growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying high-value prospects in large Enterprise organizations.

This role is ideal for a strategic, curious, and self-driven seller who thrives in complex sales environments and wants to build the foundation of large, multi-stakeholder deals. You’ll work closely with Enterprise Account Executives, Marketing, and the Broker Channel Lead to open doors into some of the most forward-thinking organizations.

Location: This is a hybrid role based in NYC; candidates must be willing and able to work in-office three days per week.

A Wagmo BDR (Business Development Representative) role focuses on generating qualified leads, prospecting large Enterprise companies (10k+ employees), and nurturing initial interest in Wagmo’s benefits offering, involving tasks like outreach, using CRM (Salesforce), and collaborating with sales/marketing to drive pipeline growth through strategic selling, process improvement, and consultative conversations. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and drive, often serving as a launchpad for an Account Executive career.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prospect into enterprise-level accounts using a multi-channel approach (email, phone, LinkedIn, events, referrals).

  • Research and identify key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.

  • Craft highly personalized outreach tailored to enterprise use cases, pain points, and benefits strategies.

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads against Wagmo’s enterprise ICP and route high-quality opportunities to Enterprise AEs.

  • Schedule and coordinate discovery meetings and demos for the enterprise sales team.

  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, messaging, and account-based strategies.

  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline notes, and reporting in CRM (Salesforce).

  • Continuously test and optimize outreach strategies to improve conversion rates.

  • Stay up to date on Wagmo’s products, the benefits landscape, and competitive offerings.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • 1–3+ years of experience in BDR/SDR, sales development, or outbound sales (enterprise or mid-market experience strongly preferred).

  • Proven ability to prospect and generate meetings with large, complex organizations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional presence.

  • Comfort navigating longer sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.

  • Highly organized with strong time management and follow-up discipline.

  • Experience using sales tools such as CRM systems, sales engagement platforms, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

  • Curiosity, coachability, and a desire to learn enterprise sales strategy.

  • Grit, resilience, and a results-driven mindset.

  • Passion for Wagmo’s mission and excitement about modern benefits and workplace innovation.

Why Consider This Role?

  • Revolutionize the pet health industry by shaping solutions that improve the lives of pets and their families.

  • Join a rapidly growing, VC-backed startup where ownership, impact, and collaboration drive success.

  • Work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment—this is not a traditional 9-to-5 job, but one that offers flexibility and autonomy in exchange for dedication and impact.

Key Benefits

  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage

  • HSA/FSA

  • 401(k) retirement planning with employer matching

  • Unlimited paid time off

  • Annual company holidays

  • Additional company-wide recharge days off

  • 12 weeks parental leave for eligible employees

  • Company paid Wagmo pet wellness and insurance plans

  • Regular company-wide events and team gatherings

  • Pet-friendly office

  • Catered lunches
