Primary Job Title: Business Information Management Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada
Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid (2 days in office; transitioning to 4 days in office)

Job Summary: The Business Information Management Analyst supports Global Technology & Solutions within Human Resources, contributing to API domain initiatives and cross-functional technology projects. This role partners closely with developers and internal stakeholders to support API management, gateway technologies, and platform capabilities, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with business and technical objectives.
The analyst will participate in ideation sessions, logical deployment discussions, and ecosystem assessments while helping define current and future state capabilities across API platforms and developer portals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders on API design, deployment, and logical architecture decisions.
- Support API domain initiatives including REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSocket, and event-driven architectures (EDA).
- Contribute to API Management platforms and tools such as Apigee, MS Azure, and Envoy.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining API Developer Portals and API Gateways.
- Create functional and technical content for developer portals.
- Support user interface and user experience considerations within portal environments.
- Identify, document, and validate current state technology capabilities and ecosystems.
- Provide recommendations to support future-state architecture decisions with an end-to-end customer experience mindset.
- Own and manage traceability of system requirements through design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure acceptance criteria demonstrate system changes that meet stakeholder expectations.
- Support testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Required Experience:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Post-secondary education.
- Experience within the API domain and API gateway technologies.
- Experience within the PI Management domain.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in team environments.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality deliverables.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Experience with developer portals (Apigee, MS Azure, Envoy).
- Development background.
- Financial services or eCommerce experience.
- Experience authoring functional and technical content.
Required Skills:
- API domain knowledge (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSocket, EDA)
- API gateway technology experience
- PI Management domain knowledge
Preferred Skills:
- API Management platforms (Apigee, MS Azure, Envoy)
