Job Details

We are seeking a litigation associate to join our business litigation team. In this role, we handle a broad range of complex commercial disputes, working across all phases of litigation from initial assessment through resolution. Associates in this group take on meaningful responsibility early, with regular involvement in case strategy, motion practice, and client interaction. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney looking to deepen their experience in sophisticated disputes while working as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and support a range of business litigation matters from inception through resolutionConduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motion papersParticipate in discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositionsAssist with hearing and trial preparation, including drafting outlines and preparing exhibitsCollaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client advisementCommunicate with clients and opposing counsel as appropriate

Qualifications

Experience handling business or commercial litigation mattersStrong legal writing, research, and analytical skillsFamiliarity with procedural rules and practice in court proceedingsAbility to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectivelyInterest in developing litigation strategy and gaining increased responsibility

Requirements

3–6 years of relevant litigation experienceAdmission to Connecticut state bar, or eligibility to waive inExperience with motion practice, discovery, and court proceduresPrior experience in a law firm or comparable legal environmentJudicial clerkship or law review experience is a plus but not required
