Job Description
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving our fitness programs and creating a positive experience for our clients and members. This individual will lead and inspire a team of fitness professionals, delivering engaging health promotion and wellness programs that meet both immediate and long-term objectives. This is a hands-on management position, perfect for a leader passionate about fitness, client relationships, and results.Responsibilities:
Review membership contracts and related membership documents and ensure that all data entry into the membership database is accurate
Update activity on member accounts for different programs
Review anomalies in queries and make corrections to the membership database as needed
Prepare the daily cash deposit and manage petty cash
Perform the daily reconciliation of the cash receipts and follow up with the appropriate staff regarding any errors, questions, or inconsistencies that surface during reconciliation
Work with the business office team to ensure a journal entry for daily sales is completed
Respond to all inquiries from health and wellness members over the phone, in person, or via email in a professional, accurate, and timely manner. Refer any unresolved issues to the appropriate individual
Provide support to other health and wellness staff as needed regarding transactions or other accounting related inquiries
Review, report and make corrections to member accounts before processing the monthly billing
Run the process billing and review all reports for accuracy before accepting
Process the Electronic Funds Transfer and credit card payments for all members
Follow up and resolve declined membership drafts
Manage the non-EFT membership accounts
Ongoing management of all aspects of member accounts including but not limited to monthly repetitive charges, age-outs, and member account changes
Processing Scholarship sliding fee scale applications
Developing and adhering to volume and revenue variance reporting
Assist in back end management of promotions targeted at facility members and guests
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year database management experience
Strong computer skills to include Excel and Word
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Proficient with computerized accounting systems
Strong analytical, problem solving & time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse styles, cultures and perspectives
Moderately flexible work schedule based on the demands of work load
Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $25.75 - $26.75/hour. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
