Valmet's North America Services team is seeking a dynamic and self-driven leader to manage, grow, and develop our Field Services business. As Business Manager, Field Services you will be responsible for driving strategic service initiatives, standardizing processes, improving operational efficiency, and expanding service offerings to meet evolving customer needs.

Participates in strategic planning to determines primary service product offerings and targeted customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Participate in strategic planning to define core service offerings and identify priority customer segments.
- Operational Excellence: Implement consistent Field Service practices, procedures, and business processes across the organization.
- Contract Compliance: Review and audit service contract language to ensure alignment with company policies and guidelines.
- Forecasting & Performance Monitoring: Provide accurate forecasts for Field Service bookings, margins, and resource utilization.
- Pricing Strategy: Develop and manage service pricing models that align with market conditions and business plan objectives.
- KPI Management: Establish, track, and report key performance metrics to evaluate Field Service effectiveness and utilization of @Field tools.
- Business Development: Lead the growth of the Repair & Overhaul business, including expansion into Extended Scope of Supply offerings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with Operations teams and sub‑contractors to support workforce scalability during peak demand periods and broaden service capabilities.
- Service Agreements Support: Engage and support service agreement programs such as FlexServ, Valmet Industrial Internet, and Remote Diagnostics.
- Customer Engagement: Work onsite and promote services within customer and field environments as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Paper Science, or Business preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
5-7 years of relevant technical experience (machine engineering, process management, mill operations, maintenance management, or similar).
10+ years of experience leading sales teams, managing strategic plans, a forward looking mindset and a proven track record of execution of targeted business plans.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a wide regional territory.
Willingness to travel to customer sites throughout North America and attend global events overseas.
