Job Description
The Business Planner leads strategic planning and performance management for key retail accounts, partnering closely with Account Managers, Retail partners, and Demand Planning to shape assortments, align forecasts, and drive growth. The role providessales ready,data driveninsights that directly enable revenue growth and support customer strategies. Working in close partnership with Sales, this individualidentifiesinventory, assortment, and demand opportunities, equipping the team with clear recommendations that improvesellthrough, close gaps, and exceed customer expectations. A highly effective communicator andresults orientedproblem solver, this role translates analytics and business context into decisive sales actions.
Responsibilities:
Own the development and management of seasonal and annual sales and receipt forecasts for assignedWholesale and/or Corporate Sales accounts, including National, Key, Independent, and Licensed (Collegiate & Stadium) programs, ensuring alignment with commercial and financial targets.
Serve as the primary planning partner to Account Managers, proactively leading monthly business reviews to assess performance versus forecast, evaluate point‑of‑sale trends and inventory health, andidentifyactionable risks and opportunities.
Provide advanced weekly analysis of sell‑through and inventory metrics, translating data into clear insights and recommendations that enable sales teams to drive incremental revenue and improve inventory productivity at the account level.
Deliver strategic assortment guidance for new product launches and seasonal color strategies byleveraginghistorical performance, trend analysis, and account‑specific dynamics tooptimizesell‑in and sell‑through.
Develop and present compelling analytical narratives and materials for quarterly business reviews, account presentations, and senior leadership discussions, clearly communicating performance drivers and forward‑looking strategies.
Act as a senior subject‑matter expert within the planning team, contributing to process improvements, forecasting best practices, and mentoring junior planners as needed.
Qualifications and Attributes:
Bachelor’s degree inBusiness, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field
5+years of experience in Planning, Buying, Sales Operations, or Finance roles with experience planning and forecasting
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (vlookups,sumifs, index/match, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint
Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong businessacumen;demonstratedpassion for deep data analysis toidentify, quantify, and influence key demand drivers.
Ability to pair critical thinking and sound judgment to ask “why,” simplify complex problems, and uncover root causes that drive actionable insights.
Proven self-starter with persistence and discipline; brings advanced analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills to independently lead initiatives
Trackrecord ofconsistently delivering high‑quality results on time, balancing speed and accuracy while managing multiple workstreams.
Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous, and high-growth environments; embraces a team-first mindset while influencing cross-functional partners toward shared outcomes.
Demonstrates resilience and adaptability in the face of shifting priorities, applying strong judgment to navigate pressure andmakewell-reasoned decisions.
Highly effective communicator with the ability to synthesize complex analyses into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Hybrid:Positionislocated inAustinat our HQ off Southwest Parkway.This roleis a mixture of onsite and remotewith 4 days a weekonsite at our YETI office Monday-Thursday.
