The OpportunityAs a Business Services - AI Engineering/Data Science Intern, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of data science within our Internal Firm Services practice. You will engage in projects that leverage advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights and drive data-driven decision-making. As an Intern, you will support teams by participating in projects, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will perform basic tasks and conduct research while observing professional work environments, contributing to the team's success.In this role, you will have the chance to work on a variety of assignments, each presenting unique challenges and scope. This is an exciting chance to apply your learning mindset and take ownership of your development while appreciating diverse perspectives and building commercial awareness.Responsibilities- Supporting data science projects by applying machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques- Assisting in the development and implementation of data models and algorithms to extract insights- Participating in the design and maintenance of data pipelines and data lakes for efficient data processing- Engaging in complex data analysis to identify patterns and trends using advanced statistical methods- Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot data science workflows and improve model performance- Contributing to the creation of predictive models to guide data-driven decision-making processes- Utilizing programming languages such as C++ and R to develop and refine data science solutions- Gathering and analyzing large datasets to support internal firm services and operational needs- Observing and learning from experienced professionals to enhance technical skills and knowledge- Actively listening and accepting feedback to improve personal development and project outcomesWhat You Must Have- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree- Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of applicationWhat Sets You Apart- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Business Analytics, Business and Information Technology, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information System, Computer Programming, Computer Science, Data Analytics and Statistics, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Information Technology & Accounting, Machine Learning, Management Information Systems & Accounting, Statistics and Data Science- Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3- Preferred major GPA: 3.3- Leveraging AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working and deliver distinctive outcomes- Demonstrating enthusiasm for learning and applying data science techniques- Supporting teams with data-driven decision-making processes- Participating in projects that utilize machine learning and AI- Observing and contributing to data science workflows and methodologies
