Job Description
Our client, a leading organization in designing and manufacturing custom equipment solutions for retail, foodservice, and industrial environments, is seeking a Buyer to join their team. As a Buyer, you will be part of the Procurement Department supporting the supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Cranston, RI
Pay Range: $25-$30 per hour
Shift: Day
What's the Job?
- Execute procurement activities for assigned commodities, including sourcing, quoting, negotiating, and issuing purchase orders.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
- Evaluate supplier performance and lead corrective actions when necessary.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers to support cost reduction, improved quality, or capacity needs.
- Monitor material pricing trends and proactively manage cost competitiveness.
What's Needed?
- 5–10 years of purchasing or supply chain experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence supplier decisions.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor, etc.).
- Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and develop actionable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
