This role involves the strategic management of raw materials for production processes. You will oversee inventory levels, ensure timely purchasing, and manage vendor relations to support manufacturing demands. Strong organizational abilities, along with proficiency in Excel and Word, are essential. Expertise in negotiating supply contracts and knowledge of commodity markets can provide a competitive edge. Expect to engage collaboratively across departments and with external suppliers, offering insights and guidance to your team. The position requires analytical skills to interpret data and make informed business decisions. Previous experience in food-related industries is favored.

Key duties include replenishing supplies by coordinating shipments from vendors nationwide, monitoring material lead times and storage conditions, and performing cost analyses for price optimization. You will conduct onsite evaluations with vendors alongside the QA team and manage material discrepancies, working closely with accounting on financial reconciliations. Versatility in crisis management and ability to handle emergencies around-the-clock are vital. This position also demands an ability to facilitate the logistical movement of materials between plant locations and to manage quarterly inventory accounting tasks.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus in business or mathematics, or have three to five years of relevant experience in materials procurement or similar domains.
