Job Description

Job Title: Performance Tester

Location: United State,Texas,DallasJob Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Performance Tester to evaluate the scalability, stability, and speed of software applications under varying levels of load. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with performance testing tools, a strong understanding of performance engineering practices, and the ability to identify bottlenecks to ensure optimal performance of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute performance test plans, test scripts, and test scenarios.

  • Conduct load, stress, spike, endurance, and volume testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar.

  • Analyze test results to identify performance issues and bottlenecks.

  • Work closely with developers, DevOps, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot and optimize application performance.

  • Create detailed performance test reports, including recommendations and remediation strategies.

  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Monitor application performance in production and provide input on system tuning and scalability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in performance testing or engineering.

  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like:

    • Apache JMeter

    • HP LoadRunner / Micro Focus LoadRunner

    • Neoload

    • Gatling

  • Strong knowledge of performance metrics, monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic).

  • Understanding of web technologies (HTTP, REST, SOAP, JSON) and databases (SQL tuning).

  • Experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Groovy is a plus.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in cloud-based performance testing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, and microservices architecture.

  • ISTQB or other performance testing certifications.
