Responsibilities

The Cable Splicing Supervisor is required to travel (domestic and foreign) in performance of their job.
This position is responsible for daily-jointing operations on board vessels.
Supervise and perform cable and repeater jointing.
Ensure that personnel and jointing equipment on board vessels are capable of meeting the installation and maintenance requirements.
Provide joint and coupling material forecasts for construction and maintenance operations.
Provision of jointing deliverables required under contracts
Maintain adequate shipboard supplies of materials for repair and construction operations, and on site tutelage.
Manage field and office Cable Splicers and ensure that their training and skill sets match the requirements for the project they are assigned to.
Ensure that all jointing equipment is in working order and that materials are adequate to meet the customer's requirements.
Work could be performed ashore, as well as aboard cable ships or barges.
