About The Opportunity
We are looking for a Design Engineer who enjoys solving problems, working with 3D modeling software, and designing products that support manufacturing needs.
In this role, you will gather design requirements, create SolidWorks models and drawings, and ensure designs meet engineering standards, project timelines, and manufacturability expectations.
If you enjoy working with CAD tools, partnering with project managers and customers, and bringing ideas from concept to production, this role is a great fit for you.
What You'll Do
- Gather design inputs from Project Managers, Sales, and customers.
- Create product designs using SolidWorks.
- Check CAD models and drawings to ensure they meet CTI engineering standards.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Sales Engineers, and customers.
- Design products that meet Scope of Work, target part weight, and manufacturability guidelines.
- Ensure designs are completed on time and within project requirements.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Take ownership of the quality and accuracy of your work.
What You Bring - Experience, Skills & Education
Required
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school
- 3+ years of related experience/training
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, regulations, and business communications.
- Ability to write reports and communicate clearly with coworkers, customers, and managers.
- Ability to apply basic math, geometry, trigonometry, and statistical concepts to real situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to understand technical instructions in diagrams or mathematical form.
- Strong SolidWorks proficiency and ability to create high‑quality CAD models.
- Training or experience in injection molding, tooling, design processes, and print reading.
- Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred
- Experience designing products for injection molding.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or tooling environment.
