Job Description
We are seeking a Calibration Technician II to perform calibration and repair of a wide range of test and measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and excellent interpersonal skills. Proficiency in verbal and written communication, along with solid computer skills, is essential. The technician will work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:
- Calibrate and repair electronic and mechanical test and measurement equipment
- Work with various equipment types, including:
- AC/DC Low Voltage: Multimeters, power meters, voltage calibrators, etc.
- RF/Microwave: Spectrum analyzers, frequency generators, RF counters
- Temperature & Humidity Devices: Thermometers, data loggers, environmental chambers, ovens
- T&M Equipment Generators: Insulation testers, dielectric testers, controllers
- Mechanical Equipment: Torque wrenches, calipers, scales, pressure gauges and controllers
- Adhere to documented calibration procedures and methods
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of work performed
- Prior experience in calibration and repair of test and measurement equipment
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 Quality Management Systems
- Understanding of measurement uncertainty and ability to perform related calculations
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and following detailed written procedures
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuitry
- Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent required
- Commercial or military PMEL/TMDE experience is preferred
- Must be able to lift and move up to 33 lbs. without assistance
