Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Calibration Technician to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, an aptitude for meticulous measurement, and a drive to ensure all equipment meets rigorous standards of accuracy and reliability. A successful candidate can prioritize tasks, adhere to company policies, and maintain proper documentation. This role is critical to delivering the high-quality service our clients expect and upholding our reputation as a leader in calibration and testing.Key Responsibilities:
  • Calibrate dimensional and torque measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and gauges.
  • Perform calibration, adjustment, inspection, and testing of a wide range of electronic instruments, test equipment, and measurement devices according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Utilize specialized calibration software and automated test equipment to ensure precision and consistency in all measurements.
  • Document calibration results, maintain accurate records, and generate detailed reports for internal review and client delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electronic devices, recommending and executing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance staff, and other technicians to resolve complex technical challenges and improve calibration processes.
  • Stay current with advancements in electronic calibration standards, technologies, and best practices.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with the maintenance and calibration of internal reference standards and laboratory equipment.
  • Support internal and external audits as required, providing technical expertise and thorough documentation.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Metrology, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electronic calibration, test equipment maintenance, or a similar technical role.
  • Proficiency in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and other electronic test instruments.
  • Familiarity with calibration standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical information clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods as required by the work environment.
