Available Classroom Settings (Varies by Campus) We are seeking SPED teachers with experience or interest in one or more of the following environments: Life Skills (functional academics + daily living skills) Inclusion Support (push-in services in Gen Ed classrooms) Co-Teach Model (shared instruction with Gen Ed teacher) Resource / Pull-Out (small group intensive instruction) Behavior / EBD / SEL (high structure + de-escalation support) Self-Contained (specialized instruction for similar learning needs) Transition (18–22) (vocational + independent living skills) What You’ll Do Depending on your assignment, you may: Deliver specialized instruction aligned to student IEP goals Adapt and modify general education curriculum and lessons Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs Collect data and monitor student progress toward goals Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with special education procedures Support students in the least restrictive environment (LRE) Minimum Qualifications (Core Requirements) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field Completion of an approved Educator Preparation Program (EPP) including student teaching Passing applicable state-required certification exams Ability to complete fingerprint-based background clearance At least 1–2 years of direct school-based Special Education teaching experience (required) Arizona (AZ) State Specific: Standard Professional SpEd (K-12); Requires passing the NES Special Education (NT601) exam. AZ offers specific certificates for Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Severe, and Hearing/Visual impairments.
