Role Overview
We need a core Calypso engineer for hands-on development and configuration work across Money Market, FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Collateral, who can equally support the platform in production – troubleshooting, root-causing, and fixing issues as part of application support. The role also covers DevOps ownership of builds, releases, and environments across the Calypso SDLC.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and customize Calypso using Core Java and BOL scripting – plug-ins, workflows, static data, and reports – across the Money Market, FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Collateral modules.* Build and maintain Calypso interfaces to upstream/downstream systems (market data, settlement, accounting, risk).* Provide application support and troubleshooting for production issues: root-cause analysis, break-fix, and permanent remediation (L2/L3).* Own CI/CD pipelines and environment builds/refreshes across DEV, SIT, UAT, and PROD.* Support Calypso version upgrades and patch cycles end-to-end – environment stand-up, regression coordination, and cut-over.* Administer batch scheduling (Autosys/Control-M) and monitor platform performance (JVM, database, application server).* Maintain deployment documentation and runbooks; participate in release governance.Required Skills & Experience
* 4+ years hands-on Calypso development/engineering experience, ideally across Money Market, FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, or Collateral.* Strong Core Java (OOP, collections, multithreading) – a must-have for Calypso customization, plug-ins, and interface development.* Hands-on BOL scripting and Calypso workflow/USD configuration.* Strong SQL (Oracle and/or Sybase), including query tuning.* Unix/Linux administration and shell/Python scripting.* CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent) and job scheduling (Autosys or Control-M).* Demonstrated experience providing production application support and troubleshooting on a live Calypso platform.Good to Have
* Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).* Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics).* Working exposure to adjacent capital markets platforms alongside Calypso.Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.•* Calypso certification(s) a plus, but not mandatory.
