Camp Sports Specialist - Seasonal

YMCA SouthcoastJob Title: Sports Specialist-CampPosition Summary:Plan and facilitate creative projects with a group of campers ranging in age 4-14 years.Essential Functions: Design camper programs around specific camp specialties of an athletic, creative, physical and/or educational nature. Plan and schedule activities based on the abilities, and interests of campers. Write lesson plans that will l engage campers and foster and enhance their skill development. Demonstrate appropriate use of equipment, proper techniques in activity participation, and articulate expected learning and achievement for satisfactory completion of activities. Monitor participation to ensure safety rules and requirements are followed. Maintain awareness of potential health and safety issues, identify hazards, and take appropriate action to resolve.YMCA Competencies:Mission and Community Oriented: Accept s and demonstrates YMCA values.
