As a new Camping Center Sales Associate at Gunstock Mountain Resort, you can expect an engaging and dynamic work environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include greeting customers, assisting them with the check in process, providing expert guidance on camping gear, and assisting with sales transactions. You’ll also maintain merchandise displays and ensure the Camping Center is well-stocked and organized. Expect to be proactive in answering customer inquiries and problem-solving any issues that may arise.
You will assist with inventory management and participate in promotional activities to enhance customer experience. Our facility is open 7 days a week, with shifts spanning both days and evenings, allowing for flexibility in your schedule. This role will give you the opportunity to develop strong relationships with customers and contribute to memorable outdoor adventures. To thrive as a Camping Center Sales Associate at Gunstock Mountain Resort, you’ll need a blend of essential skills and attributes. Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills are paramount, as you'll be interacting with guests to facilitate campground reservations, camper check-in/out, and retail sales. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, handling inquiries and transactions efficiently. Strong telephone etiquette and proficiency with computer software are necessary for executing sales transactions and managing customer records. Organizational and problem-solving skills will help you address issues that may arise while assisting guests.
Additionally, a valid driver’s license is required for certain duties. You should be able to stand for extended periods and regularly lift or move 10+ lbs. Your prior experience in customer service and familiarity with computer systems will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Campground Sales Associates provide service and support to Gunstock's guests by performing sales transactions and other necessary customer service actions in the Campground Store. Some responsibilities include; campground reservations
- camper check-in/out
- and retail sales. This position requires exceptional customer service and teamwork skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Strong telephone etiquette and computer skills required.
- Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Prior customer service skills and computer experience preferred
- Ability to stand over extended periods of time
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills necessary
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move 10+lbs
