Job Description
Joining Oakwood Village as a Campus Administration Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting campus leadership and learning about the daily operations of a mission-driven senior living community. This internship includes both administrative support and the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful special project that supports campus priorities and organizational effectiveness.
This position reports to the Executive Director.
- Understanding assisted living community standards and standard operating procedures.
- Ensuring a positive experience for residents, families, and staff.
- Enhancing customer service and communication skills.
- Developing leadership and community management abilities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (not meant to be an all inclusive list):
Executive & Administrative Support:
o Provides administrative support to campus leadership with scheduling, coordination, and general office tasks.
o Assists with preparation of materials for meetings, reports, and leadership initiatives.
o Supports day-to-day administrative needs of the campus leadership team.
Special Project Support:
o Assists with a meaningful special project assigned by the Executive Director.
o Provides support with research, organization, documentation, and follow-through related to the project.
Event and Initiative Coordination:
o Helps support planning and coordination of campus events and activities.
o Assists with logistics, communication, and follow-up as needed.
General Office and Team Support:
o Collaborates with multiple departments to support campus operations.
o Performs additional administrative duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- This internship is open to current Undergraduate or Graduate students.
- Studying Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Strong professionalism and ability to interact respectfully with staff, residents, families, and community partners.
- Requires a customer service orientation with empathy and discretion.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality in a professional setting.
Timeline: This internship will last from 8-12 weeks, depending on the availability of intern. This position may work at either or both Oakwood campuses located in Madison.
