The Campus Bookstore Student Associate supports daily store operations by providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This role involves assisting with sales, stocking merchandise, maintaining store organization, and helping create a welcoming and efficient shopping environment.Department: Campus StoreLocation: Reamer Campus CenterStudent supervisor: Mark YetmanWork available: Days, nights, weekendsRate of Pay: $9.70/hr

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Greet and assist customers with locating textbooks, school supplies, apparel, and merchandise
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process purchases accurately
Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is neatly presented
Assist with textbook distribution, rentals, and buyback periods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including work areas and storage spaces
Answer customer questions regarding store policies, pricing, and product availability
Support inventory management, including receiving and tagging merchandise
Promote store events, sales, and campus-related merchandise
Follow all store policies, procedures, and loss prevention guidelines
Qualifications:
Two or more years of customer service experience desirable, preferably in a retail environment.
Familiarity with a POS (point-of-sale) computer system helpful.
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills are expected.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
