Canvas Fabricator Industrial Sewer

We are seeking a skilled Canvas Fabricator to join our Gull Boats & RV team. In this role, you’ll create and repair high-quality marine canvas products such as boat covers, enclosures, bimini tops, upholstery, and other custom fabric solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and crafting products that protect and enhance boats.

Responsibilities:

• Measure boats and other marine equipment to create accurate templates and patterns
• Design and fabricate custom marine canvas products (covers, tops, curtains, cushions, etc.)
• Cut, sew, and assemble materials using industrial sewing machines and hand tools
• Install finished products on boats, including hardware like snaps, zippers, and fasteners
• Perform repairs and modifications to existing canvas products
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop
• Collaborate with customers to discuss design options and requirements
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in canvas fabrication, upholstery, sewing, or similar trades (preferred but not always required)
• Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and hand tools
• Strong measuring and math skills
• Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Ability to lift and handle large fabric pieces
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license (sometimes needed for on-site measurements or installations)

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday
• 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Compensation:

• $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
