Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) Registered Nurse (RN)

Tallahassee, FL

Salary & Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $27.72 - $39.60 (based on experience)

• Specialty Differential: +$2.50/hour

• Shift Differentials:

  • Night Shift: +$3/hour

  • Weekend Shift: +$2/hour

• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $25,000 (Night Shift Only, case-by-case)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide critical care in our Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit. This role requires clinical expertise, autonomy, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-intensity care for cardiac surgery patients

• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments

• Manage patient treatments independently

• Advocate for patients and their families

• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality

• Educate patients and families about medications and treatments

• Demonstrate dedication to continuous professional improvement

Requirements:

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of Acute Care RN experience

• ICU experience preferred but not mandatory

Certifications:

• Current Florida RN license

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months

• CCRN certification preferred (must be obtained within 2 years)

• NIHSS Stroke Certification required within 30 days of hire

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Work Environment:

• Night Shift with rotating weekends
