Responsibilities
Assist surgeons during cardiac procedures by preparing instruments and equipment.
Maintain a sterile environment to ensure patient safety during surgeries.
Monitor patient vitals and report any changes to the surgical team.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of the operating room before and after procedures.
Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks.
Assist in inventory management of surgical supplies and equipment.
Engage in performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Support the training of new surgical techs and interns.
Stay updated on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Experience/Qualifications
Experience in assisting during cardiac surgeries in a clinical setting.
Knowledge of sterile techniques and maintaining a safe surgical environment.
Ability to monitor and report patient vitals effectively during procedures.
Familiarity with safety protocols to minimize surgical risks.
Commitment to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a surgical team for optimal workflow.
