Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons during cardiac procedures by preparing instruments and equipment.

  • Maintain a sterile environment to ensure patient safety during surgeries.

  • Monitor patient vitals and report any changes to the surgical team.

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of the operating room before and after procedures.

  • Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate patient records.

  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks.

  • Assist in inventory management of surgical supplies and equipment.

  • Engage in performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

  • Support the training of new surgical techs and interns.

  • Stay updated on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience in assisting during cardiac surgeries in a clinical setting.

  • Knowledge of sterile techniques and maintaining a safe surgical environment.

  • Ability to monitor and report patient vitals effectively during procedures.

  • Familiarity with safety protocols to minimize surgical risks.

  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a surgical team for optimal workflow.

  • Stay informed about the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
