Assists physicians with various procedures performed in the Cath Lab.Qualifications:Required:High school graduate or GED requiredRadiology Technologist/Cardiovascular Technologist school graduate or equivalent requiredBLS through American Heart Association requiredACLS through American Heart Association requiredEssential Functions:Patient Care• Assists in maintaining the medical stability of the Cardiac Cath Lab patient throughout the procedure by monitoring vital signs, hemodynamic pressures and cardiac rhythms, reporting any deviation from normal to the physician.• Functions as assistant to the physician during diagnostic and interventional procedures and pacemaker implantation maintaining sterile technique.• Communicates changes in patient condition to professional staff particularly when patient is in pain or discomfort.
