Job Description

Bay Area Cardiology Associates is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join one of the largest cardiovascular practices in the Tampa Bay area.

This position offers the opportunity to work across both outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings while caring for a diverse cardiovascular patient population. You'll collaborate with an established team of cardiologists and experienced APPs, gaining exposure to general cardiology, heart failure, electrophysiology, vascular disease, and other cardiovascular subspecialties. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with a shared weekend rotation approximately once per month.

Providers may choose their primary office location from our Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, or Sun City Center clinics.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
  • Conduct new patient consultations, follow-up visits, hospital rounding, and inpatient consults
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including EKGs, laboratory studies, imaging, and stress tests
  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists
  • Manage medications, specialty referrals, and patient education
  • Participate in cardiovascular care across multiple subspecialties as the practice continues to grow
  • Option to work in Tampa, Brandon, Riverview or Sun City Center

Qualifications

  • Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP preferred) or Physician Assistant
  • Active Florida license or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Minimum of 2 years of Advanced Practice Provider experience required
  • 3+ years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience preferred
  • Experience may be from any specialty
  • Cardiology, acute care, critical care, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine experience is a plus
  • Interest in cardiovascular medicine
