Position Overview:

Perform nursing duties in support of patient care within the department necessary for the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of inpatients and/or outpatients undergoing diagnostic and invasive procedures. Delivers basic to advanced nursing care to patients in Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Interventional Radiology (IR). Administers EKG's, medications, provides conscious sedation, and intra-procedural monitoring of patients status while undergoing procedures in non-invasive Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, Cath Lab and IR. Actively involved with assessment, planning, care, and education of patients and staff who undergo diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures within the department. Must have a willingness to learn and expand skills in the areas of care. Services are provided in accordance with industry standards, departmental protocols, and hospital policies and procedures.

• -Location: Gateway Regional Medical Center 2100 Madison Ave. Granite City, IL 62040
• -Position Status: Full-time
• -Work Schedule: Days, 7:30am-4:00pm 80hrs per/wk

Education Qualifications:

• Required: Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Required: Minimum of six months clinical experience in one of the following areas
• Preferred: Experience in in ICU, ED, Cardiac Step Down or Stress Lab.

Certification Qualifications:

• Required: Current Illinois Nursing License
• Required: Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
• Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross ACLS) within 90 days

Experience Qualifications:

• Previous experience Required
• Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and excellent communication skills required
• Requires physical stamina and emotional stability

Pay Range:

• The pay range for this position is $32.00 - 48.00 per hour.
