Job Description

If so we are hiring an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to come and work with our dynamic Cardiothoracic Surgical team in Mason, City, IA! Our team is very cohesive and works together collectively and share all of the duties, so you will maximum operating room time (OR).

Schedule: Monday - Friday with paid on-call

Position Overview: Under the supervision of a Medical/Surgical physician. The CT PA-C will Assist in CABG and requires endoscopic vein harvesting, valves including minimally invasive, TAVRS, thoracic and esophageal surgery. May have the opportunity for robotic thoracic surgeries. Additionally, provide post-operative care and preoperative assessments. This is a full continuum of care role focusing on all cardiac surgery cases; TAVRS, CABGs, Off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery, Valve repair or replacement and much more!

Candidate must have endoscopic Vein Harvesting and cardiac surgery first assisting experience!

Candidate will have full continuum of care responsibilities but about 50-60% OR time overall with our program.
