Job Description
Emerald Crest of Burnsville, a Cassia community, is hiring compassionate On-Call Caregivers (CNAs, HHAs or PCAs) to join our team in a memory care setting! As a Caregiver, you will provide person-centered care to our residents, supporting them with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as showering/bathing, shampooing of hair and medication administration while promoting dignity, independence and well-being. This position is ideal for someone who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of others. Position Type: On-Call
Wage Range: $20 - $24.38 / hour pay range depending on experience
Shift Differential:
Nights (NOC) $1.00 / hour
Location: 451 E Travelers Trail, Burnsville, Minnesota 55337
Caregiver Responsibilities:
- Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.
- Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
- Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the RN.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties.
- Document services performed on computerized charting system.
- Assist residents with prescribed program activities.
- Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
- Light housekeeping
- Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Caregiver Qualifications:
- Needs to have at least 1 year of experience as a Caregiver (Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Attendant (PCA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA))
- Experience with medication passing is preferred.
- We are willing to train the right candidate on medication administration.
- A passion for geriatric care.
- Strong interpersonal and social skills are vital.
- Good customer service instincts will be important in interacting with family members and visitors.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Availability for both weekday and weekend coverage.
- Reliable transportation and ability to respond to last-minute requests.
