General Information:

Job title: Carpenter

Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Weekend rotation: Weekend rotation required

Holiday rotation: Holiday rotation required

Position participates on a call rotation with the facility services team.

Position Summary:

The Carpenter position performs interior and exterior carpentry to maintain the outer clinics and hospital to keep everything up and running.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform interior and exterior carpentry to maintain buildings.
• Perform remodels as requested.
• Rekey locks, change doorknobs, and adjust doors.
• Replace or repair windows and flooring; hang and fix cabinets.
• Assemble desks and repair desks and file cabinets.
• Assess and repair roofs as needed.
• Perform all other duties as requested.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of formal apprenticeship program or completion of in-company training program to satisfaction of maintenance supervision.
• 3+ years of related carpentry experience required.
• Must maintain a valid, current driver's license and be MBMC insurable.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Excellent carpentry skills required.
• Basic understanding of mechanical functions.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Considerable attention required to prevent injury to self and others when working on ladders and scaffolds.
