Do you enjoy helping people and creating a great first and last impression? Al's Oasis is looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Cashier to provide exceptional customer service while accurately processing transactions in both our restaurant and gift shop.

In this role, you'll greet guests, operate the point-of-sale system, handle payments, and help ensure every guest leaves with a positive experience. If you're organized, customer-focused, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet you!

What You'll Do

Guest Service

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Provide outstanding customer service throughout each interaction.
• Answer questions about restaurant menu items, gift shop products, and Al's Oasis.
• Help create a positive checkout experience for every guest.

Cashiering & Register Operations

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
• Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to company policy.
• Balance cash drawers and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Serve as cashier for both the restaurant and gift shop as assigned.

Store Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
• Assist with light housekeeping around the register area.
• Support daily operations and assist with additional tasks as assigned by management.

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
• Willing to train the right candidate.

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform light cleaning tasks.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
