Job Description
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:The Cashier is responsible for providing friendly, efficient service while accurately processing food and beverage transactions. This role supports daily operations by assisting guests with orders, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. Alcohol service is limited to beer and wine only.Key Responsibilities:Greet guests and take food, wine, and beer orders in a courteous and professional manner
Accurately enter orders into the POS system and process cash and credit card transactions
Serve beer and wine in accordance with all state and local alcohol regulations
Verify identification to ensure legal drinking age for alcohol purchases
Maintain a clean, organized cashier and service station
Stock and restock food items, beverages, and service supplies as needed
Answer guest questions regarding menu items, beer, and wine selections
Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely order fulfillment
Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and side work
Report inventory, equipment, or guest concerns to management
Qualifications:Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
Basic knowledge of food service and beer/wine service a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 IbsValid alcohol service certification for beer and wine (or ability to obtain)Must be 21+ years of age (or per local alcohol service laws)Schedule:Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required
