About the Role:
A Cashier is responsible for processing cash, debit, credit and check transactions using the cash register. Duties include balancing the cash register, making change, recording purchases, processing returns and scanning items for sale. Cashier's duties are performed primarily in the front of the store at the registers. A Cashier may be exposed to various temperature changes and work environments. Work includes walking, standing, lifting, moving, carrying and stocking product, along with interaction with customers, associates, truck drivers, and vendors.
Responsibilities Include:
- Counting the money in the drawers at the beginning of every shift and ensuring there is adequate change.
- Greeting customers and answering questions.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly checkout area.
- Identifying the prices of goods and calculating bills.
- Receiving payment by credit card, debit card, cash, check, vouchers, or automatic debits.
- Issuing change, credit, and refunds.
- Issuing receipts and coupons.
- Keeping drawer currency sorted, wrapped, and organized.
About The Pay:
- Base Salary: $19.50 hr

- Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.

- Able to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service.
- Able to read, write, and do simple math problems.
- Able to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
- Must be able to pass drug and background check.
- Must have a flexible schedule.
- Able to work well with others as a team member.
- Previous experience at grocery store or retail experience.
- A passion for serving people.
