Candidate must also be available to work weekends.A Cashier at Hirshleifers is responsible for delivering an exceptional checkout experience while supporting the brand’s luxury service standards. This role involves handling transactions accurately, assisting clients, and maintaining a polished, customer-focused environment.Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately using POS systems
- Provide a high-end, personalized customer experience aligned with luxury retail standards
- Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods securely
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing checkout area
- Assist customers with questions regarding products, pricing, and store policies
- Support sales associates with client transactions and special orders
- Package purchases carefully, ensuring premium presentation
- Help manage gift wrapping and special requests
- Balance cash register at the beginning and end of shifts
- Follow company procedures for loss prevention and security
- Previous cashier or retail experience (luxury retail preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy with transactions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, upscale retail environment
