Job Description: Outlet Cashier

The Food & Beverage department is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences and food and beverage services through our restaurants, Tiki bar, and in-room dining outlets.

Job Summary:

The Outlet Cashier is responsible for warm and friendly service at the Italian ice stand while processing payment transactions in a courteous and informative manner. This is a seasonal position starting mid May and ending mid September.

Essential Job Functions:

• Greets guests in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring all guest contact is courteous, informative, and thorough.
• Communicates menu items and serves guests in a quick, friendly and professional manner.
• Accurately processes cash/credit transactions, issues receipts and change owed to customers.
• Maintains the security and accuracy of a provided bank.
• Responsible for stocking and maintaining the Italian ice tiki stand.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the Italian ice stand and surrounding work areas throughout the day.
• Resolves customer complaints, addressing guests' service needs.
• Thanks guests with genuine appreciation.
• Maintains knowledge of all hotel services and local activities to respond to inquiries accurately.
• Performs related duties as requested by a manager at any time.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cashier or related position strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must possess a clean, professional appearance at all times.
• Must have basic math skills. Ability to accurately process cash transactions required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff verbally and in written form.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

In accordance with New Jersey State Legislature (New Jersey Legislature Bill S2310 Sca (1R)) which requires private employers with ten (10) or more employees to include a range of pay for all advertised jobs, promotion, or transfer opportunities. This position pays $15.92/hr dependent on experience.
