Cashier

The cashier/greeter is the first point of contact for customers entering the dealership and the last point of contact as they complete their transactions. This role creates a warm and professional welcome, assists with general inquiries, processes payments for service and parts, and directs customers to the appropriate departments. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and customer-service oriented, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm, professional attitude
• Direct visitors to the appropriate department or team member
• Process service and parts payments via cash, check, or credit card
• Balance the cash drawer and issue accurate receipts
• Answer incoming calls and transfer them as needed
• Keep the front desk and waiting area clean and organized
• Support appointment check-ins and verify customer info
• Assist with basic administrative tasks (filing, scanning, etc.)
• Provide updates to waiting customers when appropriate
• Help with dealership events or customer appreciation efforts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Customer service or cashiering experience preferred
• Comfortable with computers and POS systems
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Bilingual a plus
• Valid driver’s license may be required for occasional errands

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Front desk/showroom environment with frequent customer interaction
• Standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 15 lbs)
• Regular use of phones, computers, and office equipment
• Must be able to speak clearly, listen attentively, and work in a fast-paced setting
