Job Description

Pronto Cafe is seeking a Cashier to accurately and efficiently process customer transactions at the cash register and to promote exceptional customer service to all Pronto Cafe customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on shift and station assignment, may be required to:

Project a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times
Great all customers in a friendly and attentive manner
Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements
Receive orders from customers; grab and package any item from order that is behind deli or bakery counter.
Scoop ice cream
prepare coffee drinks
Accurately ring and process customer orders at the registers
Accepts cash and credit cards for payment; completes cash and credit card transactions according to the established procedure, issues receipt for each transaction
Take action to move customers through check-out in a fast and courteous fashion
Maintains sufficient amounts of change in the cash drawer.
Counts and balances cash drawer and beginning and end of shift
Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies
Cleans and stocks deli and bakery cases according to procedure
Thank customers for coming
Perform other duties as assigned
Cashier at outside events hosted by Pronto Cafe / Pronto Express

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous customer service experience preferred
Previous cash handling experience preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
