Job Description
Responsibilities
- Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable.
- Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, and more.
- Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers.
- Flagging traffic when required.
- Understanding of separation and clearance regulations.
- Moderate travel with possible overnight travel when required.
- Competent pole and ladder-climbing skills.
- Works aloft utilizing climbing gaffs, ladders, and mechanical lifts.
- Safely operate company vehicles and equipment such as bucket trucks, excavators, trenchers, and other machines.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Proficient in reading network design prints.
- Splicing of passive and active equipment is a plus.
Requirements
- Must have a cheerful outlook, a strong work-ethic, and the desire to learn.
- Physical capabilities including climbing, lifting, and carrying a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and possess the ability to work under pressure.
- Must demonstrate the ability to make sound and ethical decisions.
- Must be available to work after business hours as required, i.e., storm damage.
- Punctual attendance is necessary.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
