Cook I

Must be capable to work all stations in the kitchen. Assists in all clean up and shutting down of the shift they are working. Assists in all clean up and shutting down of the shift they are working. Makes a constant effort to improve working conditions and procedures to upgrade food quality set by the Executive Chef is constantly aware of food inventories needed for service Keeps kitchen clean at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible in preparing food products needed for service.
• Assist in training new employees under the supervision of the Sous Chefs and the Cook II
• Make a constant effort to improve working conditions and procedures to upgrade food quality set by the Executive Chef.
• Be constantly aware of food inventories needed for service for the Front Line Menu's
• Keep all workstation areas clean at all times. Clean as you go. In other words, clean up your workstation as you perform duties as a Cook I.
• Maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers.
• Make sure all food products are properly covered, dated, and stored according to Missouri Sanitation Standards.
• Follow directions set forth by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations. Must be at least 18 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have excellent employee skills and be able to work as a team. Must be able to emphasis a high level of customer service and give the best service possible

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
