About the role

The CDL Driver II is responsible for operating liquid tankers, 10 wheelers, and box trucks to transport hazardous and non‑hazardous chemicals and liquids within a surrounding area of Hodgkins IL. The role involves pumping work using PTO systems, hoses, and stingers, and drivers must be able to operate a manual transmission commercial vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate tankers, 10 wheelers, and box trucks to transport assigned materials.
  • Use PTO driven pumping equipment, hoses, and stingers to load and unload materials.
  • Follow all DOT and company safety regulations.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork related to transportation and material handling.
  • Perform pre trip and post trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, instructions, and any delays.
  • Support daily operational needs based on client and facility requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Valid CDL Class A.
  • Hazmat endorsement required.
  • Tanker endorsement required.
  • Strong tanker experience and familiarity with operating pumping systems, hoses, and related equipment.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission commercial vehicle.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday with weekend availability as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience hauling fuel, petroleum products, or hazardous materials.
  • Experience working with PTO systems, pumps, and stinger hoses.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb for extended periods.

  • Ability to reach, grab, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
  • Adequate vision and hearing for safe vehicle operation.

Shift Details

  • Local home daily role.
  • Monday through Friday with weekend availability.
  • Typical shift length 8 to 10 hours.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. 

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $52,200.00 - $69,400.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
