CDL-A Local Driver – Home Daily – Columbus, OH
Job Overview
Hiring CDL-A drivers for a local intermodal position based in Columbus, OH. This role offers home daily, steady miles, and consistent weekly earnings. Drivers will run a mix of local and regional freight with multiple schedule options.
Pay
- $0.62 CPM starting pay
- Additional $40 for loads under 100 miles
- Average weekly pay: $1,100 – $1,400
- Weekly miles: approximately 2,000
Schedule
- Home daily
- Shift options:
- Sunday – Thursday
- Tuesday – Saturday
- Weekend work required
- Holiday work available (voluntary)
Freight
- Intermodal containers
- No-touch freight
- Mix of:
- Drop and hook (majority)
- Preloaded freight
- Some live load and live unload
- Average of 3 loads per day
Routes
- Columbus, OH metro
- Regional runs into:
- Toledo
- Cincinnati
- Surrounding Midwest markets
- Drivers must be flexible to run across all assigned markets
Requirements
- CDL-A license
- Minimum 3 months experience
- Hazmat endorsement required
- Must be able to operate in winter conditions
